Heart Failure community advocates Kimberly ConnellI'm Kimberly Connell, Support Network Coordinator of Women Heart Houston. A heart survivor. I was first diagnosed with a heart murmur at 12 years old that later turned into hypertrophic cardiomyopathy at the age of 17. When I turned 21, I went into heart failure causing me to be hospitalized monthly. Due to my pregnancy that took place in 2015, my heart went down to pumping only 20% which led to a heart transplant in 2016. I'm here doing well to tell the story as I walk you through my journey.
