CHF gor the last 2 years

Diagnosed when my IF was at 15%. Took pills, changed diet but dealing with a third back surgery that left me paralyzed. Got up to 45%. Got electrocuted last year and died for 4-5 min. CPR and now I'm at 60+%. I was wearing a LifeVest and it didn't work. My roommates did CPR. It went through my arms and heart. 10,000V 3A. Good frequency. My cardiologist is blown away. I no longer have to take my Lasix.

  1. Hi. I see you are new to our community, having just joined yesterday evening. Welcome to our community. I am glad that you are already participating in the forums here and have already given us a status update. Sorry that you have had to deal with all of this. Sounds like you were very fortunate that your room mates were able to help you. And it also sounds like you have a great cardiologist to help you get your IF above 60%. That must have you feeling really good? If there is anything we can do to assist you, please let me or any other moderator / team member know. You are always welcome here! Wishing you all the best. John. heart-failure.net community moderator.

    1. Thank you for sharing your experience. I’m sorry to hear all your cardiac troubles over the past two years. Glad to hear that your roommate was there to help support you. I’m glad you are no longer taking Lasix. Feel free to ask any questions or share your updated progress. Leslie (Community Moderator)

      1. From a 15% EF to over 60% after such a traumatic event is astounding.
It's amazing how your body has responded and how effective CPR can be.
