How Do You Handle Mental Health Struggles When No One Seems to Understand?

Lately, I've been having a really tough time with my mental health—feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and honestly just mentally exhausted. The hardest part is that it feels like no one around me really gets it. Friends say things like “just think positive” or “everyone feels stressed,” but it doesn’t feel that simple.

I’m trying to cope, but some days are just harder than others. Have any of you gone through something similar? How do you deal with your mental health when it feels like you're going through it alone? What actually helped you start feeling better, even in small ways?

Any advice, stories, or just a little support would mean a lot right now.

Living with a chronic condition like HF can bring up many feelings and emotions.
Please know you are not alone. It is quite common to feel scared, angry, or lonely.
Unfortunately, most people not affected by Heart Failure have difficulty understanding it.

As we wait for others to chime in with their personal experiences, I thought I'd share a few articles that may provide some help: https://heart-failure.net/living-with and https://heart-failure.net/mental-health.
