My dad recently had a new valve put in his heard but he doesn't feel better

My dad recently went through a surgery where of of his valves in his heart was replaced but he still has chest aches and does not feel the surgery worked. Should I be concerned?

  1. Yes, it's important to be concerned if your dad is still experiencing chest aches after undergoing heart valve surgery. While some discomfort and recovery time are normal following such procedures, persistent chest pain could indicate underlying issues or complications.

      1. Hi. Your concern for your dad's well-being is completely understandable. It's natural to worry, especially when a loved one is experiencing ongoing discomfort after surgery. As noted above, (and if not done already) it may be a good idea to talk to your dad and encourage him to at communicate his concerns with his doctor. His doctor can allay any fears you and your father have and provide guidance on the next best course of action. Remember, your dad's health is a top priority, and seeking professional medical advice is important in ensuring his recovery. We're here to support you through this process. That said, how is your dad doing today? John. community moderator
