Dilated Cardiomyopathy Started at 36 Years Old
Last updated: October 2020
The first pacemaker was at age 36. I have a left bundle branch block (for a reason, we don’t know) a-fib also. At 46 my EF had dropped. I have dilated cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension from left-sided heart failure. A cardiac resynchronizing device was placed. I feel much better. I still get short of breath and fatigue is a big issue but I keep on going! I just know when I need to slow down. Life is good...never give up!
