Scared and Sick
I went into the hospital not feeling well at all. I previously had two mechanical heart valves installed. This time the doctor advised my son I was diagnosed with heart failure. The doctor got me pulled around and said I could to go home.
I have had two mechanical heart valves for five years now. I caught pneumonia but also had heart failure. Heart failure doesn’t mean you're dying, it means your blood is not flowing properly. I was given Furosemide to help the fluid build up. Every so often I run into this situation.
I don't blame any friends that dropped me. They don't understand heart failure. Even I'm not sure what this is, but I fully intend to find out. It's not understanding that is the hardest.
