Vietnam Follows Me To This Day
I was a gunship helicopter pilot in Vietnam and was exposed many times to Agent Orange. Due to that, I am now 100% combat-related disabled with homebound added.
I have congestive heart failure with an LV of 30 and an RV of 35, and I am going to have an ICD implanted. I also have aggressive Gleason 8 malignant prostate cancer, COPD, ischemia, and numerous other smaller concerns, and here is my take on it all.
I am alive, but many of my friends are not. I have no fear of death, so I don't let it knock at my door; I go on day by day enjoying my family and life and put the other on the back burner.
