No Meds Given
During a recent hospital stay for heart-related issues, I was in my room for 24 hours and received no medication. Mind you, I take approximately 25 pills in the morning and about 12 at night. Due to chronic pain, I take up to three Percocets a day.
I did not take my evening meds before I went. It was around 5:00 PM the next day that I was in tears. I'm not sure if it was caused by the pain or not getting the medication my body was used to. After begging twice, they finally brought me a Percocet and sent me home to resume my meds. Is this the norm nowadays or was it just that hospital? I think the next time I'm in trouble, I'll seek help elsewhere.
