Breathing problem

Will we always have shortness of breath at times? And does anyone use oxygen it's a nebulizer? I use inhaler and nebulizer treatment when needed.

  1. I'm hoping that a community member(s) chimes in here but I just wanted to say that while shortness of breath is a common symptom of heart failure, that doesn't mean that you'll experience it forever (or to the same degree). Have you found relief from using your inhaler and nebulizer? Wishing you all the best. - John M. (Heart-Failure.net Team)

    1. Yes, I have but sometimes I find that I'm having to use them more often then other time's.

      1. Hi. I use a nebulizer for asthma. It works great for helping me breathe easier. I also have inhalers. Do you also have asthma or COPD that you use your nebulizers and inhalers for? Also, the goal of treatment regimens for heart failure, COPD, and asthma is to help you breathe easy on most days. However, each of these diseases may cause flare-ups where we feel shortness of breath at times. Although, depending on the cause, your doctor should help you develop a plan for what to do when you experience symptoms. Does this answer your question? John. heart-failure.net community moderator.

    2. From my understanding yes. I dealt with it mostly when fluid was building up
