Energy returns
I am on a roller coaster ride. When I was diagnosed with acute heart failure 4 months ago. No energy, pain, shortness of breath, no nausea. Just the last 5 days, i have had more energy than before my hospital stay. I feel i can do anything. No napping. I walked over a mile Friday.
Has this happened to anyone? What happens next? I'm very confused since I thought I would go downhill quickly. Please share. Thanks.

There are different stages of heart failure and depending on what your cardiologist told you, you would have a better idea of what stage you're in. What happened with me is that when the doctors me, I wasn't feeling any of the symptoms of someone in heart failure. It wasn't until the doctors prescribed me heart failure medications that I really started to feel the symptoms. This is because the Coreg (Carvedilol) slows your heart down so that it pumps better. It's great to hear that you have energy, but I would consult my cardiologist because these things are done on a case-by-case basis.
