Genetics

I was recently tested for Familial Dilated Cardiomyopathy and am positive for the TTn variant. Another test will be done for “cardiomyopathy, arrhythmic” genetics.
Can anyone suggest a good information source?
Will anyone share their journey like this?
Feeling very isolated :-/

  1. hello and thank you for sharing. I haven't had any experience with the TTn variant, but I was also tested and the results showed I was a carrier of muscular dystrophy, but it was later ruled out. My cousin also has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and heart disease is prevalent on my dad's side. There is an article written by one of our community moderators that I'm going to link at the bottom of this response. It talks about the role that genetics have in heart failure. I hope this helps, let me know. -Olivia
