ischemic small vessel disease

This disease is narrowing of the small vessels in the brain. Of course, it can happen anywhere in the body. I think it's due to lack of oxygen to the brain. I have that problem with HF.

That's one reason I have migraine headaches. It hurts very bad. Due to lack of oxygen due the brain also cause me to have scattered white matter which can cause dementia. I have notice some effect of the Dementia. I am doing what I can to help myself: learning new language, doing puzzles, sudoku

I dont know if it will help or not but I do exercise, yoga, light aerobic and I watch what I eat. I eat mostly veggies and two kinds of meat, chicken and turkey. However, my B12 i normal low because I dont eat beef, beef, and enough fish. Beef and pork isnt good for the kidneys but now I will have to eat a small portion to improve B12 which helps people with HF.
I havent posted much because I am trying to cope with my sickness and I have many, many diseases. I cant treat one disease without harming the other disease. It's very depressing.

I also have noticed more TIAs. That is from the small vessel disease. I am having a hard time but I keep pushing through the pain. I realize that it will get worse and I will not be able to do anything or know anything or anybody.

  1. Sorry to hear that you are experiencing these symptoms. Having multiple diseases can be difficult, but remember to think about the small or big things that make you happy throughout the day. TIA’s can be frustrating to have as I can relate. Thank you for sharing. Take one day at a time and know that you’re not alone. Leslie (Community Moderator)

    1. Thank you

      1. We're glad to see you posting again although you're going through a rough time right now. I like that you are finding some activities to keep you busy as well. Please keep us posted on how you're doing. Wishing you all the best. Olivia -Moderator

        1. I truly am. I cray and pray that the headaches will go away. I cry, cry. I am afraid my brain, at some point will not function. I guess there isnt anything I can do for it...I keep going as long as I can...sniff, sniff. To be able to do small things are so important and we should be forever grateful that we can do our shopping, go to doctor's appointment, and still pull weeds for flower bed. I wish and hope the best for all of you. My head hurts so bad......tears every day...Tylenol helps but I only take them for 3 days and then I wait awhile until the pain gets pain and I start over again..

          1. I would consult your cardiologist and explain that your symptoms. Perhaps, they may be to prescribe something for your migraines. I do understand that it can be very trying having these symptoms. As a lifelong heart patient since birth, I take things one day at a time. That’s all we can hope for. Looking forward to the next day and being grateful for the opportunity to live today. Leslie (Community Moderator)
