I have had CHF since August 2021 and am finding that lately I have
been suffering from nausea. I was wondering if others have the same complaint and how they cope with it.?
I experience nausea all the time....I just try to breathe though it and maybe drink something

Hi. Sorry that you are experiencing nausea. I am not aware of nausea being a direct side effect of heart failure itself. There are a variety of things that may trigger nausea. If you continue to experience nausea, this may be something to discuss with your primary care physician, who knows you best. I am sure that he/she can get to the bottom of this symptoms to get you feeling better. What do you think? John. heart-failure.net community moderator

Thank you for sharing. I can personally relate....A member shared an article previously (https://heart-failure.net/clinical/nausea-vomiting), and I would encourage you to really look at those practical tips. Personally, I find that not eating a few hours before bed, smaller meals, ginger tea and actually sleeping on LEFT side helps. Especially the LEFT side! Take care! I experience nausea from time to time. I find it helps to eat smaller meals/snacks throughout the day rather than three large meals. For other tips, check out this article. https://heart-failure.net/symptoms/appetite-loss-nausea
