ST depression on EKG

Hello. I am a 30 year old female. For the past 3 years, I’ve had abnormal EKGs which presented ST depression. I’ve followed up with cardiologists. My stress test has always comes back normal, ejection fraction within normal limits, and my cardiac MRI is normal as well. Holter monitor picked up a few PVCs but not enough to cause a concern or start treatment. doctor said the abnormal ekg and PVCs are two different things….

Has anyone experienced this? No doctor seems to know the cause of my ST depression with all my other tests being normal….

(I am not a smoker, I occasionally drink, I do have general anxiety but no meds)

  1. Hi. Thank you for sharing your personal experience with us and for your great question. I am sure you are not alone in this community having experienced what you are experiencing what you are experiencing. And it will be neat to hear what they have to say if they do decide to chime in here. That said, it does sound like your doctor is ordering some good tests, as they can show much of what is going on with your heart and can give your doctor (s) some great information about your heart. It would seem to me that a cardiologist should be able to answer your question. Is one of the doctors you are seeing a cardiologist? John. heart-failure.net community moderator
