TEE procedure before cardioaversion? Had heart scan in June that showed no clots. Since then screws around with warfarin to know avail. Started Eliquis two weeks ago and after 3 weeks will do cardioaversion but said TEE isn't necessary. Opinions?
Hi there, thanks for taking the time to check in and pose your question. As you may know, we are unable to provide any specific medical advice, so checking in with your doctor will be your best bet. If other community members share their opinions or experiences, its is important to remember that everyone's health conditions are different and that it is still important to follow the medical advice from your healthcare team, but perhaps you can use their thoughts to spark conversation with your doctor. Wishing you all the best -Lauren (team member)

Thank you for your question. I don't have experience in TEE, but one of our community moderators has written an article that you may find helpful. 1: https://heart-failure.net/living/carry-on. I also agree with that everyone's conditions are different and that you should seek medical advice from your healthcare team. I hope this helps. -Olivia (Moderator)
