Is there a cure for heart failure ejection fraction the levels are high

I've been this way for 5 years and I'm really just looking for answers and when I finally told me when I had a CPX that I had heart failure ejection refraction and my numbers are high so they're going to go in and do a heart catheter to try to look at it but from the stuff that I read up on there's no fixing fixing this for surgery and I can't take beta blockers because I can't function is there any help for me

  1. Thank you for sharing your personal experience with us and for your inquiry. I certainly hope others will chime in here with their thoughts. And please know that we cannot offer medical advice over the Internet for your safety. However, I do have a response for you. A high ejection fraction certainly warrants an investigation by your physician to learn what exactly is causing it. And once you know the cause, this can help your physician determine the best treatment for you, and an excellent test for getting this process started (as your doctor has determined) is a heart catheter. Is this a test you will be getting soon? John. heart-failure.net community moderator

  2. I have this test April the 5th but I've had heart Catherine before and they said everything was good so I hope the surgery can fix this it's on the right side not the left. I was really excited to finally hear what my problem was after 5 years. I have to feel like my life is coming to an end because my shortness of breath and weakness has gotten worse and the flood build up

    1. I am feeling in your words that dealing with heart failure and it's uncertainty has really taken a toll on you physically and mentally, but please don't give up keep fighting! I hope you have a support system to help walk with you during this difficult time. Please know we are here to support you, stay in touch. Big hug~ Lynne S.(Heart-failure.net team member)
