Does anyone have low blood pressure?

My most recent bp was 110/69. I do take calcium channel blocker and beta blocker as well as other bp meds.. Last month at ER for vertigo, bp was 124/64. My PCP wasn't too concerned because my bp is usually high.

  1. Hi. Thank you for your question, it is a good one. While I am hopeful others in the community will see your inquiry and respond by sharing their own personal anecdotal experiences and response, I have something to contribute as well. It's common for blood pressure to fluctuate, especially if you're taking medications like calcium channel blockers and beta blockers, as well as other blood pressure medications. Likewise, both of the blood pressures you list can be considered normal for some people. Have you talked to your doctor about what is normal for you? Just curious. John. community moderator.

    1. I'll bring it up with my PCP and cardiologist next week.

      1. I wanted to chime in as I have low blood pressure as well. My heart failure doctor and I have discussed the actual number as well as symptoms of low blood pressure to understand when it's too low. So it's about the number and how you feel. I would encourage you to bring it up with your cardiac team. Morgan (heart-failure.net Moderator)

      2. Hi there, just checking in to see if you have discussed your situation with your doctors? I hope that they have been able to provide you with some insight. All the best, Lauren (team member)

    2. My diastolic can sometimes be very low, 27. This doesn't seem to concern my cardiologist

      1. Hi there, did your doctor explain to you why they aren't concerned with your diastolic of 27? How long has your diastolic been this low? Just curious. -Lauren (team member)
