How do you cope with the summer heat?

The summer months, and higher heat and humidity, can cause those with heart failure to overheat--sometimes even feeling sick, nauseous, and dizzy. How do you cope with summer heat and stay safe?

  1. Stay indoors as much as possible and use indoor bike for exercise

    1. Hi Karen, an indoor bike is a great way to get your exercise while staying cool! Do you follow any specific program? All the best, Lauren (team member)

    2. That is a great idea! Also, YouTube also has some interesting workout ideas, and you can do that from the comfort of your home (inside). Here is an article on ideas around working out at home - I hope this helps! Morgan ( Moderator)

  2. I recommend only going outside in the early mornings or evenings when it's not hot outside. If you have to be outside wear sunscreen and a hat to protect your skin from the sun. Take a bottle of water with you and be mindful of how long you've been in the sun😀 -Olivia

    1. Stay indoors with the a/c !!
