I’m trying to get Impulse Dynamics CCM device

To help improve my 30 to 35% Ejection Fraction Rate, I’m trying to get Impulse Dynamics Cardiac Contractility Module, however my Essence Insurance will not pay

Questions:
1). Anyone here have experience with this device or even Baristem Heart device - both to help improve Ejection Fraction Rate and therefore improve Shortness of Breath & Weakness?

2). Hours is it for you - Great help, Little help, no help?

3). Did your insurance pay? What insurance?

4). If insurance did not pay and you paid out of pocket - what was that cost & when please?

Really, Really appreciate you help/input on this stuff 👏👏👏😃. Lew

  1. Good morning. I see you are new to our community, having joined two days ago. I am glad to see you are already engaging here in the forums. I am always impressed to see how many devices are now available to help people with heart failure. The optimizer is one option, and it is discussed in this article (https://heart-failure.net/resynchronization-device). I do know that there are members of our community who have talked about this device, either as a patient inquiring about one as you are, or who have had the device inserted. I do look forward to one or more of them responding to your inquiry above -- and it is a good one. The optimizer is a device that many insurance companies will cover, although usually this is only after medicine and or other devices have been tried or ruled out. Have you talked to your cardiologist about this device that the path to getting one for you? John. heart-failure.net community moderator
