Can heart problem be related to MS

In the last 6 months I been having chest pains. My doctor has put me on .04 mg of the nitro patch. So far it is working. Since I have been living with MS for 37 years now. Could my heart problems be related Larry

  1. Hi. Welcome to our community. I see you are new here, having just joined yesterday. I am glad to see that you are already engaging in the forums here. As I am sure you know, we cannot offer medical advice over the Internet, for your own safety of course. Although, I do have a response for you. There is evidence of links between heart disease and MS, as you can see by this peer reviewed study (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5394435/). As your own personal doctor will know you best, this may be a great question to pose to him or her. If you do not want to wait until your next appointment, perhaps you would consider re-posting your question above in an email to your physician. It will be neat hearing what your doctor has to say in response to it. What do you think? John. heart-failure.net community moderator.

    1. Hello! I agree with , I found another peer-reviewed study (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8964627/). You should speak to your doctors and maybe they can give you an answer or point you in the right direction. Great question though. All the best. Olivia Rose -Moderator
