According to the CDC, foods that are high in trans fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol (the bad kind of cholesterol is LDL) have been linked with hardened arteries (atherosclerosis) which may increase your risk for having a heart attack. They also note that too much salt in your diet may cause your blood pressure to increase -- and high blood pressure also increases your risk for having a heart attack.
