Gerry Langan

Gerry is a Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) and Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patient advocate, speaker, and content creator. Diagnosed in 2018, she began sharing her story online to raise awareness and empower others living with chronic and rare illnesses. Her Instagram community of over 54,000 followers offers a vulnerable and authentic look into life with PAH—from hospital visits to hope-filled milestones.

With a deep passion for patient advocacy, Gerry has spoken at national conferences, led workshops on Instagram strategy, and educated others on the power of storytelling in healthcare. She’s worked with nonprofits, local legislators, and pharmaceutical companies to ensure that patient voices are heard and represented in meaningful ways.

Gerry is the founder of the PAH Fam broadcast channel on Instagram and the creator of Advancing Advocacy Through Social Media, a course designed to help patients amplify their stories. She also hosts the Rarely Typical podcast and writes the companion blog, where she shares personal reflections, interviews, and resources for navigating life with a rare disease.
