Cooler Weather - Autumn Heart Failure Management

As the Fall weather sets in, and the temperatures get cooler, people often tend to crave warm rich comfort foods and want to get outside to exercise less. This can let fluid retention sneak in unexpectedly.

What tips or tricks do you have for tracking your weight and/or fluid intake? Do you have a way to keep your heart health on track as the weather cools down?

  1. This time of year, I love to make a huge pot of chili.
I use lean ground turkey and add as many fresh vegetables/beans as I can.
I usually make enough to freeze for additional meals (when I don't feel like cooking)
Anyone else have a good fall (heart-healthy) recipe they like to make this time of year?
