Fatigue and Household Chores

Do you find chores more tiring these days? What are some of the strategies you use to still get them done? Or, vent a little- what chores are the worst/hardest to do? Tell us your experience here:

  1. Going up stairs carrying things

      We hear you.
Going up the stairs can be challenging enough, but carrying anything can make it so much more difficult. For me, carrying small loads of wash/laundry can be the most troublesome.
If you have anyone else at home, you may find it helpful to leave things (that need to go up) at the bottom of the stairs for the next person to take up.

  2. slow slow slow

For some, slowing down is so important...yet a difficult adjustment.

  3. Sometimes I wonder to myself if it’s my imagination. Because I’m thinking I can complete each chore like I used to before heart failure. My mind tells me “yes, you can do this !” But my body gets tired faster than it used to .

    1. Thanks for sharing your personal experience. I'm sorry that you have become more fatigued while completing your chores! Are you able to pace yourself throughout the day and take breaks? -Lauren (team member)

  4. Yes, I will take frequent breaks while during chores

That is so wise (and quite necessary for many of us).
