Heart rhythms
My defibrillator went off a year ago because my rate went over 200. It went off again in march. My P.A. Ordered a drug to control my rhythm and up my defibrillator setting to 50 from 40. I am not getting a reason. Does any else take amiodarone?

From what I understand, Amiodarone is commonly used to control your sinus rhythm. When used with a defibrillator, it increases the defibrillators threshold. (Perhaps that is why your setting was increased.)

~Doreen (Team Member)thank you for your testimony. I've had my defibrillator for12 years now before going off. I guess I'm worried the meds will lower it below 50 and then it will go off
