Yes and no. First off, let me tell you that I'm a spoiled baby. I'm 65 years old and an only child. I'm married and we have an only child. He is also spoiled. So, two years ago, my heart stopped. I died, and my wife did CPR until the paramedics got there, and they couldn't get me started either.
They put that pump thing on me, and they got me back going again at the hospital. Thank goodness it was close. I was asleep for six days and then woke up at the hospital. Thankfully, I don't remember any of it! After that was heart surgery. They took it out, looked at it, did a CABG, and it's now only working on the left side. You know what? It's working better now than it was before the heart attack.
So, about the hobbies. I rode a motorcycle before the heart attack, and I still ride. The problem is that I can't ride as long as I used to before the heart attack. I was such a baby that my wife let me take a ride two weeks before the doctor said I could. She made me gear up and said, "Only around the block. You go any farther and I will burn your bike!" I listened, and it was a lot harder than I remember. Still, it's been two years, and I can only go around 100 miles before I get tired and need to get off for a while.
So, did my hobbies change? Sort of. A lot less bike riding and a lot more amateur radio. All in all, life is good! 😁
