Do you have an implanted/monitoring cardiac device? If so, which type? When did you get it? How do you feel about it? What is it like living with one?

  1. I have just gotten a Difibulater implant 6 weeks ago and I regret it. No one cares about im going through or how I feel if they did it would feel alive still

  2. I am the type of person that always did what i have to do. After 2 heart attacks i was told i had no choice but to have an ICD. So since i died twice and would probably die again i made the quick decision to do it. I mean ppl get piercings and Tattoos right? So why not a battery in my chest that is doing me good!

    1. It has been 6 mos and i have had a lot of problems. Like i had to have a tube put in my ear like a month after the ICD. Then i got a bad Sinus infection. Then my BVVP was acting up. Then i was feeling faint, weak and tired all the time. I am 78 so i guess it takes longer to get things all working again. I have felt some what better the past 2 weeks. My doctors all say i am doing really good. My stats are perfect as is my blood work. Metronics said my ICD is doing a great job. So i am grateful to God and my husband. He treats me like a Queen..lol.

I'm sorry to hear of all the challenges you've been facing. It sounds like it's been a rough road.
However, it's great to learn your stats, doctors and ICD are looking favorable. It sounds like you are heading in the right direction.
Having a wonderfully supportive husband can only help!

  3. I have a pacemaker which was implanted some 3 years ago and I have never ever regretted this. It certainly has made me feel a much healthier person at the age of 88 years

    2. You had it implanted at age 88? Like wow that is so wonderful. Much luck to you for many more. Be happy.

  4. I have a pacemaker with one lead. Honestly I don't even notice it's there except that I can see it under my skin.
