Support System
Do you feel like you have a strong support system when it comes to managing your health? Who is involved in that support system, or do you wish others were more involved?
I have a great medical team but wish my wife and daughter were more supportive which for me causes loneliness and frustration.
yes, my wife has been to the hospital and was there when the cardiac surgeon explained that there was too much damage from the h.a. to place more stents than the had already done and laid out the care plan. After that she became very distant. ,
Gosh, I'm sorry to hear that.
Has this been pretty recent?
I only ask because everyone processes things differently, and perhaps your wife and daughter may just need time, as this can be a bit overwhelming.

To be honest, other than annually to check my pacemaker, no one has checked my heartfailure for a few years!!!

No, not at all. In fact when I went for the annual check up of my pacemaker in March this year I enquired when I would have an appointment for my heart failure, it obviously fell on dear ears as to date, no appointment has been made!!!
Ugh! That's awful. Are you able to call back and speak to someone else to make an appointment? I'm sorry that you have to deal with this. -Lauren (Team member)
Hi Lauren, am hoping that at my next pacemaker appointment which has been brought forward to October 2026 they may check my heart??
