Living with HF involves managing symptoms, medications diet and activity. What is one thing that brings you joy or hope? (a certain song, TV show, a favorite food or an occasion?) Let us know.
I have a close friend whose family has owned a beautiful farm for over 50 years. I am so blessed to be able to go there once or twice a week when she is able to pick me up as I can't drive any longer. I am 84 with CHF and recently got a pacemaker. I say going to the farm is heavenly and joyful.Find a happy place if possible.

, I love this! This farm sounds like a perfect retreat, enjoy your time there. In the meantime, how are you adjusting to the new pacemaker? ~Doreen (Team Member)

I think I am doing okay with the pacemaker. I don't feel it at all. Having more trouble with my dietary challenges. Low sodium and enough protein and calories with poor appetite is a challenge. I am learning slowly but surely. Thanks for the well wishes

I'm glad to hear that you are slowly adjusting. The dietary changes can be a lot at first, give yourself grace. I'm glad that you are a part of this community!

I should have mentioned that I have constant monitoring with the pacemaker and daily connection with BP, oxygen level and RHR. If I didn't have that I would most likely be more anxious about the pacemaker. Marvelous improvements in medicine since my younger days.
